Star of Life

Why do we do what we do?

Do we do it for the money? No.

Do we do it for the fame? Hell No.

We do what we do to provide care to those who need it when no one else will/can.

We do what we do to help our fellow people on this rock floating through the vacuum of space.

Please remember all EMS, Fire and Police today.

For if you have any public safety people in your family, give them a hug when they get home as you never know when they may not come back home one day.

Even knowing that, we continue to do what we do... To help others.

Remember 9/11. For the loved ones that didn't come home that day, could of been your own. Be safe out there all of my fellow EMS peeps.

Finished my EMT-B course at the end of may. typical financial crazyness has kept me from throwing down the money to take the NREMT though. I decided to go back and take some practice exams online to see how bad I'm forgetting stuff, pulled a 78 out of the first one. Thankfully it breaks things down into how you did on each part. I made a 68% ON THE ob/gyn part. apparently i don't know nothin about birthin no babies.

2 more weeks left of EMT-B classes. Labs are all done and passed. All that's left is finals and then to sit for national. Anybody got any study tips? practice tests? anything that might help? My brain feels like swiss cheese.

Well... FA:United has screwed the pooch.  They went from a non-profit to a for-profit... Thus pissing off a lot of people.

A bunch of people, including myself and several others have decided against helping out with the convention as they are not having a medical team... well, they are but apparently it will be paid medics.

So, good job Dragoneer.  Way to lose good, qualified staff members that were willing to work for free... oh well.  Less money to spend next month... more money to spend at Hamvention :)

That's all for now.

    Zen Hyper

Hello, new coyote to the group.

Hello, I am Isaac "wolfbrother" Coyote, though I typically respond to Isaac or Wolfe. I'm currently enrolled in an EMT-B course here in Southern California, and will be joining the ranks of the EMS crew, if all goes well.

Not really that great at personal introductions, so sorry if this comes off as short. Just thought I'd poke in and say hi.
